About Imagination City
At Imagination City, we help families escape screens and connect through safe, creative play so kids can grow their imagination and parents can enjoy peace of mind.

Tabitha's Passion
Imagination City started from a completely different dream.
I have always loved children. Their innocence and watching them grow, explore, and learn. As
a typical teenage girl I babysat the neighbors kids and my younger siblings. Watching the things
we now take for granted such as imaginative games, outdoor play, and the little things that bring
them so much joy.
As we grow up we are always asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Mine was
always simple. I wanted to work with kids! So I thought why not be a teacher? Early learning,
maybe Elementary school? As I continued through school I found I just didn’t like school. No
fault of my teachers as I had many amazing and patient teachers who had amazing patience
with me and my stubbornness. I may have been a difficult student as my attention span stuck
inside a classroom was short. So in my mind college wasn’t going to happen because that
meant more classrooms.
Then an amazing thing happened. I was pregnant with my first child. Becoming a parent
changes your perspective even more when you have your own. You become their person and
they depend on you for everything. Completely different perspective from watching other
people’s children and then giving that responsibility back over! I went from working full time to
being a stay at home mom. Then came the trail of all of the mom's self-doubt. Then came three
more kids and now trying to figure out fun, safe, and entertaining things to do with them. You
can only go to the park so many times and then Texas weather doing random things. There was
nowhere to take my littles! Why in a town that was growing and had a military base was there
nowhere for small kids to have fun, be contained, and for me not to be hyperventilating keeping
track of my four?
So why Imagination City?
So that we as parents can let our children have fun, safe from the weather, running off where we
can’t constantly keep track of them, and so that we as parents can remember what it’s like to be
a kid again and enjoy that quality time with our kids that will grow way too fast. So we can
continue to inspire their imaginations, foster their creativity, and strengthen our families.
